Erin Desmond is an artist and practitioner who creates somatic experiences to bring about renegotiation and movement from within. Using photography, sculpture, installation, performance and somatic healing methodologies, she sets up conditions for spontaneous transformation and reclamation of the feminine. Through relational encounters, she challenges conventional ways of interfacing with self and others, inviting people into vulnerability and felt connection.
Erin received a BA from UCLA, an MFA from Yale and completed studies in somatics at Somatic Experiencing International. She has exhibited work at The Flag Art Foundation (New York), Diane Rosenstein Gallery (Los Angeles), Barcú (Bogata, Colombia) and Gallery Common (Tokyo, Japan). She lives and works in Los Angeles.
